"Fingerprints"

This work uses the same technology as the Interactive Soundscape.
A roll of fabric with six strings mounted on it revolves suspended on frame like a giant towel dispenser.
Visitors place their fingerprints on one of the six strings and depending its position it creates a tone. Due to the unique contours of each fingerprint, each one creates a different sound. The work becomes a giant musical box with a constantly evolving score, which evolves over time the more people use it.
The visitors become participants creating music – once their fingerprint is captured, they leave something of themselves in the work, creating a communal piece of music.
